Heaven

I dream of clear white clouds,
A vast expanse of beauty undefinable.
Where angels praise the One true God,
His majesty indescribable.
                Virtue reigns and every stain,
                Of filthy sin is cleant.
All denizens sing the glory of God,
For whom all worship is meant.
No lofty thoughts and eloquent words,
Are fit to describe its wonder.
God’s mercy falls like the raindrops,
His praise sung like the thunder.
It’s a reward for those who live,
                A virtuous life below,
In heaven God awaits their souls,

A crown on them to bestow.
